Wisdom Teeth Removal

Our third molars, or wisdom teeth, typically grow in around the ages of 17-25. Wisdom teeth commonly cause pain and oral health issues during and after erupting, requiring them to be removed. Our surgeons may also recommend wisdom teeth extraction as a preventative measure for these problems.

Tooth Extraction

When other teeth become impacted or infected, our surgeons may recommend a tooth extraction to address painful symptoms if there are no other viable treatment options.

Full Mouth Reconstruction

Multiple surgeries may be necessary for patients with severe or compounded dental problems. A full mouth reconstruction, as the name suggests, refers to the rebuilding or reconstruction of all the teeth in a patient’s mouth. Because of the scope of this treatment and our specialty being oral surgery, we may work with other specialists during treatment to provide you with optimal results.

Bone Grafting

To achieve successful implant treatments, our patients must have a sufficient amount of bone in the jaw to support an implant. If the bone in your jaw is too soft, thin, or brittle to support an implant, we may recommend a bone graft. Bone grafts will aid in the regeneration of your jawbone, making implant treatment a viable option for patients with bone loss.

Platelet Rich Plasma

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is a relatively new approach to tissue regeneration, allowing our surgeons to isolate growth platelets and take advantage of the healing properties in your blood. PRP is an excellent treatment for regenerating soft tissues and can be hugely beneficial following a bone graft.

Gum Grafting

Much like a bone graft, our surgeons may recommend a gum graft to treat severe instances of gum recession and regenerate needed tissue. Our office provides several types of gum grafts, allowing us to treat gum recession in varying severities and locations of the mouth.

Orthognathic Surgery

Orthognathic surgery, or corrective jaw surgery, can be used to address pain or irregularities in the jaw. Your TMJ, or temporomandibular joints, are located on each side of the jaw and are some of the most complex, fragile joints in your body. When problems arise with your TMJ, you may experience difficulty or pain when yawning, eating, or speaking. Our office offers orthognathic surgery as a solution to TMJ-related pain or problems.

Oral Pathology

Oral pathology allows for the diagnosis, study, and cure of problems affecting the oral and maxillofacial region that might not initially be apparent. In the event a patient has an oral disease without an evident cause, our surgeons will refer to oral pathology to determine the exact cause. Once determined, a more precise treatment plan can be developed.

Dental Trauma

In the event you receive serious injury or trauma to the teeth or face, schedule an appointment immediately. Serious oral health problems can result from dental trauma, and patients have a limited window of opportunity to reset teeth dislodged from injury. If resetting a missing tooth is not possible, you may need oral surgery.

Sleep Apnea

Sleep apnea, or the repeated cessation of breath during sleep, can be a potentially life-threatening disorder in some cases. Severe cases of sleep apnea may require surgical intervention.

Exparel

To address the ongoing opioid epidemic, our surgeons offer Exparel as a non-opioid alternative to pain management after surgery. Exparel is a safe and successful numbing agent to mitigate the risk of misusing opioid-based medication. If you are interested in an alternative to opioid painkillers, our doctors are available to discuss your options.
